What is a refugee?
-The simple explanation of a refugee is someone forced to leave there country in order to escape war prosecution or natural disaster.
-Refugees usually come from third world country's in order to start a new life in a fully developed city.
-Most refugees come from China, Pakistan, Mexico and Philippines due to warfare natural disaster or because of prosecution.

Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
-The immigration and refugee protection act (I.R.P.A.) came into effect on June 28, 2002
-An Act respecting immigration to Canada and the granting of refugee protection to persons who are displaced, persecuted or in danger.
-With the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
-Convention Against Torture means the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
-Signed on December 10, 1984.
-Foreign national" means a person who is not a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident.
-Permanent resident means a person who has acquired permanent resident status.
-An Act respecting immigration to Canada and the granting of refugee protection to persons who are displaced, persecuted or in danger.
